Chef Carrie and Lisa are the chef/owners of Chef Shack, a popular food truck in the United States. Both trained in Michelin star restaurants in New York City, and came back home to create their own concept in the early 2000’s. They are known for their creative and delicious dishes, often using locally sourced ingredients. Carrie and Lisa have gained a loyal following for their unique culinary creations and have been recognized for their contributions to the food truck industry. Their Chef Shack concept was created in 2005, after a lengthy travel to Southeast Asia, and falling in love with street food.
Now, years later with a small fleet of trucks for catering, and a home base in Wisconsin, Chef Shack operates Saturdays at the Mill City farmers market for the last 17 years, and a permanent location offering weekend dining in a century old tavern in Bay City Wisconsin.
In the off season they travel the world for rejuvenation, creativity, adventure, and inspiration. They have been traveling last 5 months all over south east Asia and will bring those flavors to this collaboration at Raag, the only modern progressive Indian restaurant in the state of MN.

About Raag: Restaurants like Raag were limited to cities like NY, SFO, Washington DC, Seattle, London, until now. The only fine dining Indian spot in twin cities, Executive Chef Romila currently leads our kitchen. Romila graduated from culinary college in Mumbai, India, traveled the world as a chef, held leadership roles in cruise industry, trained at George Blanc in France, El Bulli in Spain, Giovanni’s in Tuscany. She mastered French cuisine under Michelin chefs, certified in molecular gastronomy making Indian food approachable for all.
Raag located on 50th & France changed ownership in 2022 to become this new brand of high-end Indian food, events & featured in the media. Hosting James Beard, celebrity chef events, Sohil Goorha, the current owner is bringing his network, experiences from world travels while promoting the city as a food destination. His daughter Cira (6) is often spotted at the restaurant with him. Local designer Kara Bigos of Kamarron Design created the interiors at Raag to be welcoming & upscale. The Bar with blue accent lamps, glass wall backdrop, 100+ liquor, signature cocktails complement the venue & menu.
